Vande Mataram In Gujarati -Rastriya Geet in Gujarati

Indian National Song -Vande Mataram

Poem Vande Mataram was composed in the 1870s by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in both Bengali and Sanskrit. As a national anthem and a potent emblem of India’s freedom cause, it has a long history and great significance there.

First published in 1882, the poem was a component of Chatterjee’s novel Anandamath, which told the story of a fictitious uprising against the British Raj. Indian nationalists battling for independence used the first two verses of Vande Mataram as a rallying cry and they went on to become incredibly popular.

The first two lyrics of Vande Mataram were formally designated as the national song of India in 1950, following the country’s independence in 1947. The song is sung at formal gatherings, national celebrations, and cultural events with reverence and patriotism.
